S. ALWIN
- In-Country Director  -

           S. Alwin was appointed In-Country Director (Programme and Administration) of International Alliance for the Prevention of AIDS – India in August 2007. Before joining IAPA, he spent eight years in HIV/AIDS sector,  completed his  post graduation in Social Work and brings experience in Prevention, Care and Support.  The organization worked so far in different capacities in bilateral and multilateral agencies funding agencies projects like Department for International Development (DFID), Family Health International (FHI) and NGOs/CBOs. 

He brings in vast experience in Program design, proposal writing, capacity building, advocacy, co-developed training manual, organised National, Regional & state level workshop/Trainings in Treatment access & Greater Involvement of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS(GIPA) in India.  One training manual was co-developed on Positive Prevention which is now being observed in China by Asia Pacific Council of AIDS Service Organizations (APCASO). With is professional knowledge and different capacities he is here with us to strengthen IAPA.  He is very much leading the India office with his past experience.

   

 

ARULRAJ LOUIS
Education Director  -
           Arulraj Louis was appointed as “Education Director” of IAPA with effect from August 2007. He has more than 10 years experience in implementing Targeted Interventions (TI) for prevention of HIV/AIDS. He has also worked as a Training Officer in the USAID supported Resource Center for training NGO personnel in TI. In his decade plus long career, he was involved in the development of CBOs, IEC/BCC materials, brochures and Training Manuals for projects supported by USAID, Family Health International (FHI) and Save the Children. He was sponsored by USAID/FHI to participate and present a paper in the  XIII International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa in 2000. He has developed many project proposals, small plays and reports in HIV/AIDS.  A man of cheerful nature, he uses his wit and humor to  make his teaching sessions more interesting for the groups he teaches.
   

 

G. SHEEMA
Field Officer  -
           G. Sheema was appointed as Field Officer from September 2007.  She is well experienced in the development sector especially with differently able, women & children and HIV/AIDS. She is also holding a diploma in Pediatric Nursing (California) and also she brings in experience in administration and financial management.  Sheema possesses a great deal of experience working in the field, face to face with those that she helps and is a devoted, and instrumental part of the care team. Sheema works to develop IAPA relationships with the other local NGO/CBOs and other stakeholders. Over all she is cheerful. Produces a fiercely positive attitude and strives every minute to help others.
