IAPA Mission

To teach an updated, accurate, fact based HIV/AIDS Curriculum in schools, community groups, and other venues within our means.

To work with government agencies, non-profit agencies, non-government agencies, community based organizations, and private industry to promote HIV testing and counseling, HIV educational programs, and to offer support and advocacy for other relevant programs.

To provide a rewarding and enjoyable volunteer program for American as well as Indian students that encourages further involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS and the development of IAPA’s mission.

Upcoming Events

Education on health, hygiene and HIV/AIDS at Ambattur Clothing Factory, on 12.05.2012. We would be using the Health and Hygiene curriculum developed by IAPA, specifically for the female factory workers.

19.05.2012: Arrival of Ryan and Shyamia from US office for evaluation of IAPA projects.

22.05.2012: Arokiya Project: We would distribute the nutrition and provision packets to the children and the care givers. Children wellness record would be updated, for monitoring their health statuses.

22.05.2012: Training for care givers on nutritious cooking, facilitated by Sheema and Sarala.

25.05.2012: Visit of the Coordinators, Carol and Monica precursor to the arrival of volunteers for the Summer Volunteer Program 2012. The Coordinators and the India team would jointly go through all the arrangements for the SVP.
